    Hey friend,

The method I build my training for myself and my clients comes down to my 4 E's:

    Engineered, Efficient, Enduring, Enjoyable.

The first 3 sound like work. The last one sounds like a reward for doing the work.

I'd argue it's the reason the work keeps getting done.

The training you dread is the training you stop doing. And training you stopped doing has a result of 0, no matter how well it was designed.

So the 2-day program you like beats the 5-day program you hate. The walk you'll take beats the run you won't. The vegetables you'll eat beat the ones you'll throw out.

Back in July, I wrote an issue on how pain isn't proof. The other half of that is - enjoying something isn't a warning sign, even though we treat it like one. If it's fun, we assume it can't be working. If it hurts, we assume it must be.

    Neither is true.

The only version of anything that works is the version that's still happening weeks, months, and years later. And that version is almost always the one you didn't have to talk yourself into.

Find the smallest enjoyable dose that still gets you the result. Then stop feeling guilty that it's enjoyable.

    Until next time,

Nutcase makes a cashew milk drink in a can with 550mg of potassium, 45mg of magnesium, 5g of sugar, no seed oils, no dairy. Basically an electrolyte drink you really want to drink.

I'm partnering with them because the ingredients are clean and the taste is incredible, which is a combination I don't find often. I like having something to sip on during my workouts, and this is what's in my hand between sets now.

The chocolate one tastes like a Yoo-hoo (remember those?). It's my favorite, so if you're going to try one, make it Chocolate Chaos.
